Houriva (the “app”) takes your privacy seriously and works to comply with applicable laws.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Houriva app and related web pages.
Houriva is a routine reminder app centered on gentle nudges and on-time alerts,
and its core features are designed to run primarily on local storage on your device.
1. Information we collect
Houriva processes only the minimum information needed to provide the service.
Information you enter directly
Houriva does not offer typical sign-up or login,
and it does not require the following as a condition of use:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Date of birth
- Physical address
- Account password
You can use the app without creating an account.
Information that may be stored while you use the app
To provide recurring reminders, Houriva may store the following settings on your device.
- Whether alerts are enabled
- Selected notification style
- Recurring schedule (weekdays, hour, minute)
- Sound / vibration / voice (TTS, text-to-speech) settings
- Some custom message text
- Whether onboarding is complete
- Some recent notification display history
This information is stored on your device by default
and is used to keep features working and improve the experience.
2. Information that may be processed automatically
To run the app reliably, Houriva may automatically process limited information such as:
- App version
- Operating system (OS) version
- Notification permission status
- Exact alarm permission status (Android)
- Battery optimization exception status (Android)
- System notification settings
- Basic device notification behavior signals
This is mainly used to help your recurring reminders behave as expected.
3. Purposes of use
Houriva processes information only for the following purposes.
- Providing recurring reminders
- Storing routines and alert options you configure
- Improving alert reliability and feature behavior
- Maintaining settings and delivering the in-app experience
- Basic operations, error handling, and support
- Serving ads and optimizing service operations
4. How data is stored
Core Houriva settings are generally stored in local storage on your device.
For example, the app may store:
- Alert times and recurring schedules
- Selected styles and alert options
- Vibration, voice (TTS), and sound settings
- Some custom messages
- Onboarding and in-app usage state
To deliver core routine reminders,
Houriva does not require a member account or mandatory server-side storage of those settings.
5. Ads and third-party services
Houriva may use third-party services to operate and maintain the app.
5-1. Google Play
Houriva may be distributed and operated through Google Play Console.
5-2. Google AdMob
Houriva uses Google AdMob to show ads in the app.
Banner ads may appear at the bottom of the home screen and similar placements.
Google AdMob and related partners may process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
- Device information
- IP address
- Basic app usage signals
- Ad impressions, clicks, and related interactions
That processing may be performed by Google or partners for ad delivery and measurement,
and is governed by Google’s policies.
⚠️ We do not sell your alert times, routine content, or gentle message text for ad targeting, and we do not combine them with separate account profiles.

6. Analytics and measurement
For operations, error handling, quality improvements, or ad performance,
Houriva may use limited analytics or diagnostics.
That may include:
- Basic app usage signals
- Parts of feature flows
- Technical information related to errors or abnormal behavior
- Ad impression and interaction data
By design, Houriva does not require direct identifiers like your name, email, or phone number.
7. Location, camera, microphone, contacts, and similar
Houriva does not require the following for core features:
- Location
- Camera
- Microphone
- Contacts
- Photos / files
If future features need access,
we will explain it through the OS permission flow.
8. App permissions
Houriva may request certain permissions to provide recurring reminders.
Permissions that may be used on Android
Notifications
- Purpose: Show notifications on your device
- Scope: Deliver the routine alerts you configure
Exact alarms
- Purpose: Deliver alerts closer to the times you set
- Scope: Recurring reminder features
Battery optimization exception
- Purpose: Reduce missed alerts on some devices
- Scope: Optional guidance to improve reliability
Vibration and post-boot recovery
- Purpose: Vibration alerts and restoring scheduled alerts after a reboot
- Scope: The alert features you set up
Permissions that may be used on iOS
Notifications
- Purpose: Show local notifications at the times you configure
You can change most permissions anytime in device settings.
9. Retention and deletion
Core Houriva settings are generally stored on your device.
You can remove data by:
- Uninstalling the app
- Clearing app data in device settings
- Using an in-app reset option, if provided
Some data processed by third parties for ads or platform operations
may be retained under those providers’ policies.
10. Children’s privacy
Houriva does not knowingly collect personal information from children who require special protection under law.
Houriva is intended for general audiences
and does not require age verification through a sign-up flow.
11. International transfers and third-party processing
Some third-party services Houriva uses (for example, Google AdMob, Google Play)
may process data on servers located outside the Republic of Korea.
When that happens, processing follows those providers’ policies and procedures.
12. Security
Houriva works to protect information within reasonable bounds.
Still, no system is perfectly secure given networking, OS behavior, device security, and third-party architectures.
Please keep good habits too—device locks, OS updates, and careful permission management.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may change with laws, service updates, ads and analytics tools, or operations.
For material changes, we may notify you through one or more of:
- In-app notices
- Website notices
- Store listing or policy link updates
