CheckMED is designed with notification reliability in mind.

🧭 Quick start
- Create a plan: tap “+” → enter clinic/pharmacy/period → set times → save
- Get reminders: receive alarms at the configured times

Confirm intake: log as taken or missed
- Within 30 minutes: waiting (green)
- Within 1 hour: waiting (orange)
- After 1 hour: elapsed → marked as missed
- Track progress: completion rate / remaining doses in the plan list
- Check volume: Check your device’s notification/media volume

Long plans (stable reminders):
On some devices, reminders scheduled far in advance may require the app to be opened periodically to remain active. For best reliability, we recommend opening the app occasionally—especially before long intervals pass or after system, battery, or time-zone changes. - Long plans (processing time): editing plans, resetting logs, or deleting a plan may take longer when there is a large amount of data.
- On some devices, battery optimization or notification settings may change how reminders behave.
🔐 Privacy-first design
Many medication apps rely on server storage. CheckMED defaults to keeping your data on the device.
- Plan data is stored in local storage and is not uploaded by us to our servers
- Sensitive data is encrypted with AES-256; keys are protected via Android Keystore / iOS Keychain
- No account required
- Requests only minimal permissions needed for reminder functionality
- If advertising Software Development Kits (Software Development Kits, SDKs) are used, limited device and ad-related data may be processed by third-party providers for ad delivery and measurement
- Medication plans and logs are not used for advertising or sent by us for ad targeting
- Ad personalization can be adjusted in device settings and Google ad settings

🛡️ Notifications & permissions (Android)
CheckMED may use the following for accurate reminders.
Exact alarms
- Purpose: fire at the exact medication times you configure.
- Scope: used only for medication alarms — not for ads or analytics.
- Settings: some devices require an “exact alarm” permission grant.
Foreground service
- Purpose: deliver alarms and play sounds even when the app is not in the foreground.
- Scope: only for medication notifications; no collection or transmission of medication data for this purpose.
Lock screen & full-screen alerts
- Behavior: depending on settings, alerts may appear on the lock screen or as full-screen notifications.
- Control: you can change presentation in system notification settings anytime.
- Purpose: help you notice dose times.
📢 Ads (AdMob)
CheckMED may show Google AdMob banner ads to support development and operations.
- During ad delivery, Google and its partners may process limited information such as device data, advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data (for example impressions and clicks).
- Medication plans and logs are not used for advertising or sent by us for ad targeting.

- Reminder delivery may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable depending on the device environment and operating system conditions.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for checking whether a reminder has been received.
- If you think you may be having a medical emergency, adverse reaction, or urgent health issue, do not rely on the app. Contact a qualified healthcare provider or emergency services in your region immediately.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CheckMED disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including delayed or missed reminders, interrupted notifications, input errors, or local data loss.
